Welcome to Providence Head of Site
Welcome to Providence
There are so many reasons to visit Providence, whether it is to visit family and friends or to explore the parks, café, land sales office, community centre, display village or to just enjoy one of our many events and activities. Whatever your reason, we welcome you and hope you enjoy your visit.
For those of you who have made Providence your home, we have a special way of welcoming you into your new Providence community. Firstly, you will receive a friendly knock on the door from a neighbour to personally welcome you. Not only do they have lots of local information to share with you, but they also come bearing welcome gifts. Secondly, we would like to invite you for dinner because we believe, there really is no better way to feel welcomed than an invitation to share a meal with some of your neighbours. To find out when the next dinner is scheduled and to book your seat please go to what’s on.
We also have regular community BBQ’s and these are designed as a great way to meet others living in the community and are family-friendly events. Another great way to get involved and connect with your new community is to join your local community group who meet on the first Tuesday of each month. Or you could join one of the many other local groups or come along to one of the many activities or events on offer.
Drop in and say hello
Our community development manager, Felicity Hill is here to help welcome and connect you to your new community, to help grow and deliver community events and programs and to foster community leaders and groups. You will find Felicity at the Providence Centre most days throughout the working week, so please, if you haven’t already, drop in and say hello. If you have any ideas, questions or suggestions in regard to anything community, art, business or environment Felicity would love to hear from you.
If you live at Providence you might like to join our online community group Providence Community Development on Facebook. This closed group is just for the people who live at Providence and is a great way to connect with your neighbours, ask questions, provide feedback, share local information, and for you to help the Amex Project Team design and develop community initiatives, events spaces and places around the people who live here. It is a great way for us to work together to build this fabulous new community.
Here are some suggestions for some local online groups to join or pages to follow.
We are proud of the fact Providence is designed around the people who live here. It’s all about clever design and delivery, but we can’t do it without you. We need to truly understand who you are and in particular, your needs, interests and ideas.
All completed, validated surveys will receive a $20 voucher to Forty West.
