Spread over 4.55ha, the initial stage of the first major sports precinct for Ripley Valley is now open. This is made up of two rectangular fields and an integrated oval suitable for a variety of sports.
The sports fields includes a 100-space car park, playground and barbeque, the community asset will become the home of sport in the booming Ripley Valley. Future stages will include more fields and clubhouse for resident clubs.
Ipswich City Council has now awarded field time at Providence Parklands to several sporting clubs including football, rugby league, and cricket. The fields were officially opened on the 28th April, 2019 by Okeland Communities. Read more here.
The sporting facility will be fully equipped with public toilets upon final approval.
Providence ‘Local Sporting Champions’ Grant – Re-Opening Soon!
As part of our commitment to create communities that embrace sport and recreation, we would like to offer a sports grant for Ripley Valley residents who have qualified or been selected this year (2019) in Queensland or Australian championship in their sport. The funds are provided to assist with the travel and event-related costs of attending sporting championships. Applications are open to amateur sportspersons (individuals) and each grant is valued at $250. For the purposes of this grant, Ripley Valley refers to the suburbs of South Ripley and Ripley.
