Providence Business of the Week

To kick start the Providence Business of the Week, we couldn’t be happier than having the opportunity to introduce Wells Cabinets.  Four years ago, Adam Wells and his family made Providence their home.   Adam later attended one of our Providence monthly business training workshops and kick-started his dream to have his own family business.

Adam has had over 14 years’ experience in the cabinet making, joinery, and shopfitting industry.

Wells Cabinets offers their clients a range of cabinetry solutions, ranging from indoor and outdoor kitchens to entertainment units, garage shelving and they will even help with flat packs.

Wells Cabinets customizes cabinetry to suit any space and if you are not sure how to make everything fit, Wells can offer advice on how to get the best cabinet layout to make the space more efficient.

To find out more go to Well Cabinets or find them on Facebook or call 0432 283 181

Local Providence resident, Kath has always loved helping others, so it is no surprise that her new business Sorted by Kath, does just that.   Kath has used her customer service and human resources expertise to create a resume, cover letter, Linked In and Seek profile service.  As a resume service, Sorted by Kath also provides free interview tips and Kath will tweak your resume afterwards to ensure it’s kept up to date.

Whilst Kath very much wants to help everyone, she has a special interest in supporting mums returning to the workforce, students applying for their first job and defence spouses.  As a mum and military spouse, herself, Kath knows firsthand the challenges that defence spouses face.   Challenges like moving to an area you don’t know and the need to have highly adaptable job-seeking tools with the flexibility to not just move interstate but across roles and industries, all whilst juggling family.    With so many defence personal calling Providence home, there is no doubt that Kath’s expertise and insight will provide a valuable service to this community.

When asked why she wanted to start a business at Providence, Kath told us that it was the same reason she built her family home here, because she knew it was going to be a community for families and businesses to grow.

To find out more about Kath, her services and special offers, visit  www.sortedbykath.com  or find Sorted by Kath on facebook.

Ripley local and mum of two, Leah Gallagher made the decision to leave corporate life and set up her own virtual assistance business so that she could be more present in her family life.   Leah has been in the virtual business for 12months and already has a diverse portfolio of clients ranging from anesthetists to tradies and to an international revegetation company.

With the Covid pandemic 19, the demand for virtual assistance has grown significantly.  The appeal of working virtually with no direct contact combined with the simplicity of engaging a virtual assistant has driven this demand.   Virtual assistants are paid an hourly fee only when you need them, so there is no need for employers to worry about Work Cover, holiday, and sick leave or rostering.    It has no wonder that Leah is already looking at expanding her business.

If you are interested in finding out more visit leahgallaghervaservices.com.au or Facebook  or call Leah on 0400 994 717.
